An automotive manufacturing company in Port Klang is seeking a Quality Management professional to lead the implementation and maintenance of IATF 16949 QMS. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5-7 years of QA/QC experience in automotive manufacturing. The role involves defining quality goals, overseeing compliance, coordinating audits, and ensuring product conformity through continuous improvement initiatives. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position.
Define quality goals for production with QAQC Manager.
Lead and oversee the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the IATF 16949 QMS for the entire organization.
Ensure all processes comply with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements (CSR), and internal standards.
Maintain and update quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, and supporting documents.
Coordinate external audits (IATF/ISO) and manage audit readiness across all departments.
Develop and manage the annual audit plan for system, process, and product audits.
Lead major internal audits and follow up on corrective actions to ensure closure within target timelines.
Lead APQP activities including PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, PPAP documentation.
Work closely with engineering, production, and suppliers to ensure IATF requirements are met from development to mass production.
Support root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa) for internal quality issues, customer complaints, and supplier nonconformities.
Monitor and analyze quality KPIs (PPM, defect trends, scrap rates).
Implement preventive and corrective actions to ensure process stability and product conformity.
Participate in supplier qualification, evaluation, and monitoring.
Conduct supplier audits based on IATF requirements.
Drive supplier improvement based on IQC performance, PPM, audit results, and customer requirements.
Provide training on IATF requirements, quality tools, and QMS processes to internal staff.
Ensure company-wide awareness of quality standards, risk-based thinking, and customer satisfaction.
Responsible for Continuous Improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5–7 years of QA/QC experience in automotive manufacturing (Tier 1/Tier 2 environment preferred).
Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949, Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA).
Hands‑on experience in internal auditing (certified IATF Internal Auditor is an advantage).
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills (8D, 5 Why).
Able to work independently and as a team player as well as interact with people at all levels.
Experience with customer complaint handling and PPAP submission.
Self‑motivated and self‑disciplined.
Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and familiarity with quality inspection methods, tools, and procedures.
