A reputable recruitment agency seeks a dedicated Purchasing Officer to manage day-to-day purchasing activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of materials while maintaining quality standards. Candidates must possess a Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management and at least 2-3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within manufacturing. Proficiency in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia required, with the position based in Pasir Gudang, Johor.
Handle day-to-day purchasing activities, including sourcing, issuing purchase orders, and following up with suppliers.
Monitor and ensure timely delivery of materials according to the required specifications and quality standards.
Compare quotations, negotiate pricing, and source for cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier databases.
Work closely with relevant departments to ensure smooth coordination on material requirements and delivery schedules.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and ISO standards.
Assist in monitoring stock levels and coordinate with the store or production team for replenishment needs.
Support in preparing purchasing reports and documentation for management review.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the company.
