Your Job

Join our Team as a Senior/ Project Engineer. You will support business expansion at the Molex Malaysia plant. The company is looking for an energetic, proactive, and results-driven person to lead and facilitate new product development and production transfer projects within the plant.

We are hiring for both Senior Project Engineer and Project Engineer roles. Applicants with strong project management expertise may be considered for the senior position, while those with a few years of manufacturing experience and a passion for project management may be considered for the project engineer role.

Our Team

As a Senior/ Project Engineer, you will provide cross-functional leadership, act as the bridge between project management, execution, control, and monitoring for the Plant and Development team. This role plays a vital part in supporting Business Unit objectives, enabling year-over-year growth through new product development, and ensuring a smooth transition from conceptualization to production. You will collaborate internally and externally.

What You Will Do

• Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams in New Product Development, modifications, and selected capacity additions
• Monitor overall project schedule, define the critical path, hold team members accountable for meeting agreed-upon deadlines
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and cost while performing risk assessments and mitigation planning
• Response to RFQ / DMF / GCA in within time goal
• Own project reporting and communication to both management and customers
• Lead and mentor team members in project management principles and PDP processes
• Proactively demonstrate initiative and urgency in a fast-paced development environment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Strong experience in Project/Engineering roles, with expertise in scope, schedule, cost, and risk management
• Bachelor's degree, preferred in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Strong organizational and self-monitoring abilities
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Comfortable with change orders, site/project design, and cost estimation
• Critical thinking, collaboration, and continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to interpret specifications and plans for efficient project scheduling
• This role demands proactivity, precision, and strategic execution in a global collaboration environment

What Will Put You Ahead

• PMP knowledge or certification is a plus
• Experience in New Product Development (NPD) from concept to production
• Manufacturing exposure (e.g., stamping, molding, automation)
• Proficiency in Office 365, MS Project, Data & Analytics, and Enterprise Tools (e.g., Team Center, Polarion)
• IATF 16949 knowledge or experience in quality management systems
