Overview

Project & Design Engineer and Project Site Supervisor roles with FERO FLO ENGINEERING & SERVICES (M) SDN. BHD. In these roles, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of mechanical engineering projects, as well as oversee daily site activities according to approved drawings, specifications, schedules and quality requirements.

This full-time position is based in Rawang, Selangor, and involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions aligned with the company’s objectives.

What you’ll be doing

• Oversee the design and development of mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion
• Conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses and risk assessments to ensure project viability and success
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and manage project timelines
• Develop detailed engineering plans, drawings and specifications to guide the implementation process
• Supervise and coordinate the work of technical teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required standards
• Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and provide regular updates to management
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies and best practices to continuously improve engineering solutions
• Oversee and manage day-to-day site activities, ensuring all works are executed according to project plans, drawings, and technical specifications
• Conduct daily site briefings and toolbox meetings to promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to coordinate workflows, manage deliveries, and maintain project timelines
• Monitor work progress and prepare detailed site reports, daily records, and status updates for management review
• Supervise the quality of workmanship and materials to ensure full compliance with relevant codes, standards, and contractual requirements
• Identify potential site issues or bottlenecks and propose proactive corrective actions to minimize delays and maintain quality standards
• Manage and maintain company tools, equipment, and facilities, ensuring proper housekeeping and an organized work environment at all times

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar project & design engineering role, preferably within the mechanical engineering industry
• Proficient in the use of CAD software and other engineering design tools
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate and execute complex projects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, suppliers and cross-functional teams
• Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical challenges
• Adaptable and resourceful, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
• Diploma or Certificate in Engineering, Construction, or a related field
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in site supervision or coordination, depending on project scale
• Strong technical understanding of construction methods, engineering drawings, and site coordination workflows
• Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control procedures to ensure a secure and compliant work site
• Excellent communication skills to effectively bridge the gap between workers, subcontractors, and management
• Problem-solving and analytical skills to navigate technical challenges and demanding site conditions
