Job description

Our Company is looking for an experienced Project Architect to be appointed and to be in charge as well as assisting with the designing aspects including the supervision of the works on the construction site(s) for the projects. Attending various meetings with the clients, the consultants, the stakeholders and others will be necessary for the purpose of further developing the design concepts and progressing into early stage of construction design details, preparing budgets, creating and producing the final design before overseeing the entire construction process from start to finish, shall be the basic requirement.

As a project architect, you would be expected to have an in-depth knowledge of architectural design; adequate working experience on project management; and should have an ability to communicate well at all levels with clients, authorities, professionals and others. It is also incumbent that the project architect be able to translate various ideas of the client into a fully built design to be completed on time and also within set budget.

Responsibilities

• Meetings – Amongst others, these would be required to attend – Client-Consultants; Consultants Meetings; meetings with stakeholders and etc. to discuss construction designs and Site Meetings for ongoing projects at site
• Ability to producing building drawings for all different types of projects
• Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of budgets, material documents, and specification lists for client’s approval.
• Acting as an intermediary between the client and the construction team.
• Overseeing building contractors and construction crews.
• Visiting the site(s) on a regular basis to ensure construction works are conforming to the local authorities’ rules and regulations.
• Ensuring the project remains on time and within specifications.
• Be able to provide progress reports, writing minutes, provide programming/time schedules, and advised on budgetary constraints.
• Conducting and coordinating full scope of work from Concept, Design Development, Contract Documentation, Contract Administration or Management until finalization of project(s) and Completion.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Master Degree in architecture, design, or similar.
• Experience of 7 to 10 or more years post-graduation
• PAM and LAM registrations.
• Advanced knowledge of drafting software including AutoDesk Revit; AutoCAD and Sketch-Up; Lumion; Rhino 3D; Excel; Microsoft office
• Excellent interpersonal communication in both Bahasa Malaysia and English;
• Good reporting and writing skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English;
• Ability to translate concepts into functional construction designs.
• Advanced project-management skills.
• Ability to coordinate all manner of office and construction work on a daily basis.
• Knowledge of construction costs and time frames/programming
