A manufacturing company located in Johor is looking for a Production Planner to develop and execute production schedules that ensure on-time delivery and the efficient use of resources. This role requires strong coordination with teams across procurement and quality assurance and excellent skills in data tracking and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a related field and 3–5 years of relevant experience. Strong analytical and communication abilities are essential for success in this position.
The Production Planner based in Simpang Renggam, Johor is responsible for developing and executing effective production schedules to ensure on-time delivery, optimal utilization of resources, and alignment with customer requirements. This role requires strong coordination with cross-functional teams including procurement, warehouse, and quality to ensure smooth production flow while maintaining cost efficiency and high-quality standards.
Plan and schedule all production orders for current and future products to meet customer requirements.
Develop, monitor, and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production based on sales orders, forecasts, and inventory levels.
Coordinate with supply chain team to ensure timely placement and delivery of required materials.
Maintain accurate records of production data, schedules, and performance metrics for reporting and continuous improvement.
Prepare and present production status reports and updates to management during regular meetings.
Provide accurate production forecasts to the purchasing team to support effective material planning.
Assist in manpower planning to ensure sufficient resources are allocated to meet order deadlines.
Support the Production Manager in ensuring production activities are executed on time, within capacity, and aligned with customer delivery expectations.
Support manufacturing process improvement initiatives
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
3–5 years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment.
Strong Excel skills for data tracking and reporting.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to understand engineering and technical requirements, and effectively communicate with purchasing, cross-functional teams, and suppliers to meet customer needs.
Prior technical work experience is an added advantage.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
