Job summary

A leading construction firm in Malaysia is seeking a legal assistant to maintain legal documents and assist with basic legal research. Responsibilities include managing legal files, preparing documents, and supporting compliance requirements. Ideal candidates should have 1-2 years of administrative experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. This position requires attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward learning legal processes.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative support role, preferably within a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Proactive and a willingness to learn about property development legal processes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, manage and organize all legal documents, files and correspondences, ensuring accuracy and efficient retrieval.
  • Handle the full cycle of document processing and follow up on pending matters.
  • Assist with basic legal research, primarily retrieving specific legal precedents or regulations as directed.
  • Prepare, proofread and format various legal documents, including letters, notices and correspondences.
  • Support legal team in preparing and managing compliance checklists and routine reporting requirements.

Skills
