We are seeking a senior, results‑oriented operational leader to join our executive team as the Operation Director / Deputy Director. This role holds ultimate responsibility for our entire Assembly and Final Test manufacturing organization, a large‑scale operation of 1,000–1,500 employees, and focuses on optimizing Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, and New Product Introduction (NPI) functions.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and mentor a large‑scale organization (1000‑1500+ DL/IDL employees) across Manufacturing, Engineering (Process & Equipment), and NPI.
- Develop and execute a clear operational strategy and direction that aligns with factory‑wide goals and ensures flawless, systemic execution.
- Establish a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Take full ownership of all operational KPIs, including Cost, Quality, Yield, and Productivity (DL, IDL, and equipment).
- Implement and manage systems to track, report, and analyze performance metrics, driving immediate and long‑term corrective actions.
- Leverage deep technical expertise in assembly processes and equipment to guide engineering teams in resolving complex challenges.
- Oversee the NPI development process, ensuring new products are designed for manufacturability (DFM) and transition to high‑volume production with a capable, stable process (high Cpk), high yield, excellent quality, and optimal cost.
- Champion a data‑driven and systematic problem‑solving culture (e.g., 8D, Six Sigma, DMAIC) throughout the organization.
- Utilize strong statistical and analytical skills to interpret complex data, identify root causes, and implement robust solutions.
- Act as the primary operational liaison, communicating with high‑visibility global teams (Business Groups, Global Quality, Opex) and internal support groups (HR, Finance, Planning, QA, Facilities).
- Drive robust people development, performance management, and succession planning to build a strong leadership pipeline.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial) or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 10 years progressive management experience in a high‑volume Assembly and Final Test semiconductor or electronics manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing a large, complex workforce.
- Deep technical knowledge of assembly equipment, processes, and manufacturing methodologies.
- Champions a data‑driven culture and demonstrable mastery of structured and systematic problem‑solving techniques.
- Exceptional leadership, management, and influencing skills with the independence and gravitas to drive a large department.
- Strong, articulate communication skills, with the ability to present complex strategies and data clearly to all levels, from engineers to global executives.
- A proven ability to work effectively with all key stakeholders and support functions (Finance, HR, Planning, etc.) to achieve common goals.
