Overview

The teacher shall report to the Principal and Deputy Principal of Invictus International School and is responsible for carrying out professional duties in accordance with the school’s policies and as directed by school leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Pedagogy – The teacher is expected to employ effective pedagogy that enables children to become successful learners who achieve personal excellence by:
  • Building learning-focused relationships
  • Empowering children to become or prepare to be independent learners
  • Using assessment information to plan progression for the differing needs of learners in class
  • Using appropriate assessment tools for formative and summative assessment
  • Providing high-quality feedback to learners
  • Encouraging children to reflect on their learning
  • Engaging children in the construction of their learning processes
  • Involving parents in their children\'s learning through regular parent-teacher dialogue
  • Using relevant ICT to improve student learning and differentiate instruction
  • Maintaining accurate and complete records of students\' progress and development
  • Demonstrating a high level of relevant curriculum knowledge
  • Incorporating relevant thinking and reflective skills into the curriculum
  • Preparing and presenting informative reports to parents and other stakeholders as required
  • Teaching all elementary grades in the school

Requirements
