Job summary

A leading agricultural company in Miri, Malaysia is seeking candidates for a role that entails cross-functional assignments and contribution to corporate strategies. Ideal candidates should have a degree in relevant fields and at least one year of experience in corporate management, although fresh graduates are welcomed for a management trainee position. Strong communication and computer skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. Travel may be required as part of training.

Qualifications

  • Possess a Degree in Actuarial Science/Accounting/Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in corporate management or a similar role; fresh graduates are also welcome to apply as MANAGEMENT TRAINEE.
  • Familiarity with the oil palm industry or agricultural sectors is an added advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in English (written and verbal), with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer literacy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to travel to various operational sites and departments as part of the learning process.
  • Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Engaged in structured cross-functional assignments across various departments/units within the Group.
  • Participate in management meetings, operational reviews and site visits arranged by the company and provide feedback on operational and strategic matters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the planning and execution of key business projects.
  • Contribute meaningfully to departmental goals through hands-on involvement in projects, process improvements and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor project progress, timelines, and deliverables to ensure effective and timely execution.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of corporate strategies, business plans and transformation initiatives.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks or additional duties as assigned by management in support of business needs.
