MAINTENANCE FOREMAN FOR KAOLIN PROCESSING FACTORY

TAMBANG RAYA MINERAL SDN BHD – Chemor, Perak

We are a leading kaolin processing company seeking an experienced Maintenance Foreman to lead our mechanical maintenance team and ensure reliable operation of critical production equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and supervise a team of technicians in daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities.

Perform hands‑on maintenance, overhaul, and repair of key machinery, including:

• Ball mills (grinding systems)
• Hydraulic slurry pumps
• Associated piping, valves, conveyors and auxiliary equipment

Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.

Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults and coordinate timely repairs.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, lock‑out/tag‑out procedures, and environmental regulations.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, spare parts inventory, and report on equipment performance.

Collaborate with production teams to plan maintenance during scheduled shutdowns.

Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices and equipment‑specific procedures.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical maintenance and repair within a mineral processing, mining, ceramics, or similar heavy industrial environment.

Experience in Kaolin/clay processing industry will be beneficial.

Proven expertise in maintaining and repairing ball mills, filter presses, and hydraulic slurry pumps.

At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or foreman role, with strong leadership and team management skills.

Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent qualification.

Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, seals, gearboxes, and alignment techniques.

Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

Familiarity with preventive maintenance software/systems is an advantage.

Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 production environment.
