Job description
Maintenance Engineer – Johor Bahru

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance operations at the Johor Bahru branch. This role involves managing spare parts, coordinating with the HQ inventory team, monitoring repair work, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage comprehensive part ordering and inventory
  • Control and manage hazardous materials
  • Act as the stock-take person-in-charge (PIC)
  • Maintain and organise the general tools store
  • Handle picking and packing of parts for delivery
  • Follow up on parts delivery and technical inquiries
  • Distribute parts and tools to servicemen
  • Collaborate with the HQ inventory team for procurement of new and obsolete parts
  • Perform daily CBS reporting
  • Monitor comprehensive repair work, with a focus on stock code usage
  • Provide feedback on work orders for depot job sites and comprehensive repairs
  • Support troubleshooting and part ordering
  • Oversee KQE prepared by HQ
  • Review and plan a yearly schedule for annual inspections
  • Conduct site safety patrols
  • Handle risk assessments, including storeroom inventory and site servicing requirements
  • Investigate and report on accidents or incident cases
  • Conduct quarterly checks of technician's motorbikes and toolboxes
  • Propose, prepare, and issue Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), tools, and equipment to technicians as needed
  • Serve as the OSH coordinator, reporting on occupational safety and health matters
  • Liaise with the JKKP officer for inquiries, especially, regarding the MyKKP system
Qualifications
  • Experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in the elevator industry
