Job description

Legal Associate - Intellectual Property Litigation

1. Draft pleadings, cause papers and submissions.
2. Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions.
3. Attend Case Management, Court Headings, Trial/Hearing and E-review.
4. Lead the management of trademark portfolios across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring strategic alignment with clients’ brand protection goals.
5. Provide high-level legal advice on trademark registration, enforcement, and portfolio optimization.
6. Handle and advise on IP Enforcement, contentious matters and other IP-related issues.
7. Maintain detailed case files.
8. Monitor timelines, deliverables and compliance requirements across multiple matters.
9. Support business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Admitted to the Malaysian Bar.
2. Possess valid Sijil Annual & Practicing Certificate.
3. Strictly 3-4 PQE (post qualification experience), in Civil Litigation or Intellectual Property Law.
4. Ability to handle work independently with minimal supervision.
5. Proven ability to manage high volume work independently and efficiently.
6. Strong drafting, analytical and negotiation skills.
7. Open to Malaysian citizens only.
