Job summary

A leading educational institution in Petaling Jaya seeks Lecturers/Senior Lecturers to teach and manage academic programs in Computer Science & Technology. Job description

LECTURERS / SENIOR LECTURERS, FACULTY OF COMPUTER SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

1. Responsible for the teaching and learning aspects of the subjects including, but not limited to, teaching materials, assessments, setting examination questions and papers, marking examination scripts and other associated projects that relate to the subjects being offered.

2. Arrange relevant industry visits and talks by industry leaders to complement the teaching and learning of each subject.

3. Review, update and develop lesson plans, scheme of work, lectures/practicals, tutorials, assignments, and class discussions in compliance with the syllabus and curriculum.

4. Implement Outcome Based Education, including Programme Educational Objectives, Programme Learning Outcomes and Course Learning Outcomes and perform PLO-CLO measurement analysis for each module.

5. Conduct research and publish research works in Indexed Journals.

6. Initiate small group tutorials for students in need.

7. Nurture student talents and potential through extracurricular activities.

8. Perform academic programme management tasks.

9. Participate in continuous relevant professional activities.

10. Perform any other tasks that might be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

1. Candidate must possess at least a Master’s Degree in related discipline.

2. Candidates with PhDs and Fresh graduates with PhDs are also encouraged to apply.

3. At least 1-3 years of lecturing experience in tertiary education and relevant industrial experience.

4. Experience in academic programme management and familiarity with MQA requirements and documentation will be an advantage.

5. Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in facilitating teaching and learning.

6. Good written and spoken communication skills in English.

7. Good interpersonal and presentation skills.

8. Good team player and able to work independently.
