Why does this job exist and why is it critical?
As a Learning Partner, you play a critical role as an internal consultant, enabler and collaborator – to drive learning and development initiatives, partner with business units to identify training needs, and design effective programmes. Ensure alignment with organisational strategy, foster a culture of continuous learning, and support talent development for business growth. Play a key role in influencing the adoption of the Maxis culture values and habits.
What are you accountable for?
- Collaborate with business leaders to assess learning needs.
- Research, Design and implement learning solutions to drive workforce effectiveness.
- Drive skill mapping and develop learning pathways.
- Promote the learning offerings and drive consumption.
- Drive adoption of Gen AI and facilitate workflow improvements.
- Work with hyperscalers and Tech learning vendors to enable upskilling on digital skills (AI, Data, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Automation etc).
- Manage key IT events (AI learning week, hackathons, promptathons etc) and drive favourable outcomes.
- Drive adoption of Maxis culture, values and habits.
- Build a culture of Intrapreneurship and support the innovation program (VIA Challenge).
- Track and report on learning and culture metrics.
- Ensure compliance with learning policies.
What do you need to have to fit this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Education, or related field; fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Minimum 5 years in Learning & Development (preferred) and 2 years in IT environment.
- Strong communication skills (Advanced) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
- Experienced in programme design, coaching/workshop facilitation, data analysis; intermediate in project management, digital tools, and Gen AI.
- Certification in Learning & Development or HR preferred; Lean Six Sigma knowledge is an advantage.
