IT Systems, Network & Customer Support Engineer

IT SYSTEMS, NETWORK & CUSTOMER SUPPORT ENGINEER (HYBRID / REGIONAL SUPPORT)

Location: Johor Bahru (Hybrid WFH with regular travel to Singapore)

Transport allowance provided.

Full-time role.

We are seeking an IT Systems, Network & Customer Support Engineer based in Johor Bahru to provide technical support to our customers in Singapore and manage our internal IT operations. This role involves a mix of remote work, onsite customer visits, SQL system troubleshooting, IT asset management, corporate software administration, and photography workflow support. The candidate must be able to cross the JB–Singapore border regularly and report to our Singapore office at least twice a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite and remote support to clinics and customers in Singapore and provide remote support to our related companies in the region
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot medical photography software, SQL-based applications, NAS/SMB file paths, image storage directories, and network connectivity issues.
  • Assist with workstation setup, system migrations, device configuration, and user training for customers.
  • Manage internal IT operations including device setup, OS troubleshooting, networking issues, printer and hardware support.
  • Administer corporate software accounts including SAP/ERP, CRM platforms, Dropbox, OneDrive/Google Drive, and Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace email.
  • Create, manage, and secure user accounts, permissions, licences, and 2FA policies for internal staff.
  • Install, configure, and administer SQL Server/SQL Express for internal and customer systems.
  • Perform SQL backups, restores, migrations, and permission assignments.
  • Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, static IPs, DNS, SMB/NAS file sharing, and network paths.
  • Support medical photography workflows and media management software used by clinical staff.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory including laptops, PCs, network equipment, photography devices, and software licences.
  • Oversee procurement, deployment, tagging, and lifecycle management of IT assets.
  • Maintain documentation, SOPs, network diagrams, troubleshooting steps, and IT knowledge base for both internal and customer systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and periodic system checks to ensure reliability of devices, databases, and networks.
Requirements
  • 3–7 years experience in IT Support, Systems Administration, or Network Engineering.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL Server/SQL Express, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Good understanding of Windows networking including TCP/IP, DNS, SMB/NAS shares, firewalls, and VLANs.
  • Strong Windows 10/11 troubleshooting skills and familiarity with device management.
  • Experience managing corporate software accounts (SAP/ERP, CRM systems, Dropbox/Google Drive/OneDrive, Microsoft 365/Google Workspace).
  • Experience supporting photography workflows or photo management software is preferred.
  • Must be based in Johor Bahru and able to commute daily.
  • Must have personal transport (car or motorbike).
  • Must be able to enter Singapore when required and report physically to our Singapore office at least twice per week.
  • Good communication skills and confidence in customer-facing situations.
  • Self-driven, well-organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
