The Subject Teacher is responsible to plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a secondary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfil their academic potential. Work is performed under the supervision of the Principal.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- To teach IGCSE syllabus of respective subject.
- Engaging young minds and helping them explore the world.
- Nurturing children and teenagers to grow holistically.
- Guiding students to explore academic content and apply it in the real world.
- Prepare test papers and revision papers to prepare students for their exams.
- Managing students in a class
- Planning and executing CCA programmes & activities
- Creating lesson plans in compliance with school curriculum, administering homework and school projects, grading the work, and giving appropriate feedback to the students.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management.
Job and Person Specification
Essential Specification (Must-have):
- Possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Education/Teaching or equivalent.
- Strong commitment and passion for education and concern for students’ welfare.
- PC literate and able to use multi-media resources in the classroom.
- Highly motivated, full of initiative, disciplined and responsible.
- Strong commitment and passion for education
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in written and verbal English and BM
- Excellent Subject knowledge in their respective subject.
Desirable Specification (Added advantage)
- Relevant teaching certification (eg CICTL, DICTL, PGCE).
- At least two (2) years of teaching experience in relevant field in International School.
- Ability to show evidence of further professional development.
- Ability to teach outside of specialist area.
- Ability to use and understand assessment data.
