Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Chinese language lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE Chinese (First Language / Second Language / Foreign Language) syllabus.
Develop high-quality teaching materials, assessments, and differentiated learning strategies to support students with diverse linguistic backgrounds and abilities.
Prepare students comprehensively for IGCSE internal examinations and external Cambridge assessments.
Track, evaluate, and report on student progress consistently, providing timely and constructive feedback to foster academic growth.
Implement strong classroom management techniques to foster a positive, respectful, and productive learning environment.
Contribute to curriculum development, departmental planning, and the school’s wider academic programme.
Organise and lead Chinese cultural programmes and language-related extracurricular activities (e.g., speaking clubs, cultural festivals, language weeks, competitions).
Maintain professional and clear communication with students, parents, and school management regarding student achievement and well-being.
Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and whole-school projects as required.
A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Chinese Language, Chinese Literature, Education, or a closely related field.
A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Teaching License, Diploma in Education).
A strong, demonstrable mastery of the Cambridge IGCSE Chinese syllabus (for First, Second, or Foreign Language).
Native or near-native proficiency in the Chinese language.
High proficiency in English for effective instruction, collaboration, and communication within the school community.
Proven experience in lesson planning, resource development, and student assessment.
A strong understanding of modern pedagogies and a student-centered approach to teaching.
Ability to design differentiated and innovative learning experiences.
Technologically proficient, able to integrate relevant educational technology to enhance learning.
