Job description
Job Purpose

The Human Resources Business Partner, Malaysia plays a key role in delivering end-to-end HR support to the Malaysia Business Unit and Shared Services Center (SSC). This includes enhancing member engagement and experience, driving strategic business partnering, managing recruitment and onboarding/induction programs, overseeing training and development, implementing wellness and health initiatives, and aligning HR strategies with business goals and objectives. The role also covers general HR administration and compliance.

A glimpse of your daily mission
  • Be a trusted partner and advisor to the business by providing guidance on People, Culture, and Organizational matters, ensuring alignment with HR policies, processes, and fair work practices.
  • Guide the team in Haworth performance management & salary review processes.
  • Provide support to the Singapore-based payroll operations team on payroll-related matters.
  • Organize company celebrations/activities, recognition events, and special occasion arrangements (e.g., flowers, gifts, hampers).
  • Plan monthly birthday celebrations and other member engagement activities.
  • Assist with ad-hoc HR initiatives such as employee feedback collection and surveys.
  • Prepare and coordinate data and materials for monthly HR reporting.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ HR experience, including at least 4 years in a multinational corporation (MNC) or SSC environment.
  • Proven experience in team management with strong leadership capabilities and skills.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Malaysia’s Employment Act and statutory requirements.
  • High cultural sensitivity and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide timely resolutions.
  • Excellent people management, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Proactive approach on research to identifying and problem rectification.
  • Ability to build consensus and foster strong relationships across the business partners, and the workforce.
  • Capable of working under pressure, managing workload effectively, and delegating tasks.
  • Strong analytical mindset with adaptability to new challenges and problem-solver.
  • Ability to tackle new issues quickly and act accordingly.
