Job description

For over 30 years, Goodnite Group has been a trusted Malaysian brand in bedding and home furnishings, with nationwide presence and a growing regional footprint. As we continue to expand, we’re seeking an experienced and passionate HR & Admin Manager to lead our people strategy, culture, and compliance across the Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the full spectrum of Human Resources and Administration functions for the Group.
  • Lead the Recruitment & Selection process, ensuring the right talent is placed across all subsidiaries.
  • Drive and implement the Group’s Training & Development Plan, ensuring continuous learning and growth.
  • Conduct internal training to strengthen staff understanding of Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Company Culture.
  • Plan and organize team building and employee engagement programs, including monthly and festive events.
  • Oversee foreign worker management, including recruitment, permits, and compliance.
  • Verify and approve payroll, overtime, claims, and statutory contributions for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Group-level HR policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Lead the performance appraisal system and ensure alignment with KPI and business goals.
  • Champion 5S implementation – chair audits, ensure compliance, and promote a continuous improvement culture.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and other internal or external HR-related audits.
  • Lead the utilization of HRD Corp (Human Resources Development Fund) for staff development.
  • Manage compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2010 and Anti-Corruption policy.
  • Establish partnerships with colleges and universities to support recruitment and employer branding.
  • Provide HR advisory and support to management, aligning strategies with the Group’s growth direction.
  • Perform any ad‑hoc assignments as directed by the Group Managing Director (GMD).
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing group-level operations.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian labour laws, ISO compliance, PDPA, and HRD Corp procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems (SQL knowledge preferred).
  • Strategic, hands‑on, and able to manage multiple subsidiaries and priorities.
  • Strong integrity, confidentiality, and ability to drive culture alignment across diverse teams.
  • Able to speak, write, and read professionally in English, Malay, and Mandarin is a must to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients.

What’s a Day Like as Our HR & Admin Manager?

Your day starts at 8:30am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, leading an experienced HR & Admin team that keeps the organisation running smoothly.

You’ll collaborate with department heads, oversee payroll accuracy, plan training programs, and ensure every policy and initiative reflects the company’s values and compliance standards.
