Oriental Coffee International – Puchong New Village

We are looking for a Halal Executive / Halal cum Safety Training Executive to oversee halal compliance, food safety standards, and staff training across our operations, ensuring full adherence to regulatory and certification requirements.

Job Responsibilities
Halal Executive
  • Responsible for overall system management in the company including Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, and Halal Assurance System.
  • In charge of halal matters and liaison with JAKIM/JAIS officer for audit matters.
  • Verify all documents and activities related to the Halal Assurance System (HAS).
  • Maintain and update HAS manual documents to ensure they are in order and well‑maintained.
  • Receive and ensure the incoming raw materials and ingredients meet specifications.
  • Check and monitor the preparation of products to follow specifications.
  • Check sanitation and hygiene of all workers and areas.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure all workers follow them.
  • Monitor and update daily progress with QC personnel.
  • Execute other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Halal cum Safety Training Executive
  • Develop annual Halal training, food handling training, food safety training, and SOP training plans for staff.
  • Coordinate internal training sessions and external courses with approved training providers.
  • Schedule training sessions, refresher courses, and onboarding training for new employees.
  • Prepare training materials such as presentations, manuals, SOPs, and guidelines.
  • Update training content when regulations, standards, or certification requirements change.
  • Conduct training for new employees and relevant staff.
  • Maintain training attendance records, certificates, and evaluation forms.
  • Ensure complete and accurate training documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Prepare monthly Halal training KPI reports (training hours, attendance, compliance rate).
  • Stay updated on the latest Halal, food safety, and regulatory guidelines or rulings.
  • Support Halal operations as needed.
Job Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Halal Management, a Bachelor’s Degree, a Professional Degree in Food Science/Technology, or equivalent.
  • At least 1–3 years of working experience in halal matters.
  • Possess a Halal Executive certificate issued by a recognized Halal Training Provider by HPB (Halal Professional Board) and JAKIM.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and HACCP.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, especially with foreign workers.
  • Ability to handle ISO audit and documentation.
  • Flexible, positive attitude, and adaptable to changes.
