Job summary

A leading financial services firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Financial Operations Analyst responsible for NAV control checks, investigations, and high-quality service delivery. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience, be proficient in English, and possess strong organizational skills with an emphasis on detail and problem-solving. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, and this position includes working hours from 3.00pm to 12.00am or 4.00pm to 1.00am.

Responsibilities

  • Chase for NAV for Hedge Funds and input into Data Hub system.
  • Perform NAV controls checks to ensure correct price details are updated.
  • Investigate asset breaks and assign to the right departments.
  • Provide high quality service experience, answering enquiries.
  • Identify non-standard processes for thorough risk assessments.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop effective solutions.
  • Ensure activities are completed within agreed time frames.
  • Review daily cash and stock reconciliations.
  • Respond to e-mail queries in a timely manner.
  • Produce periodic reporting for clients and business needs.
  • Seek operational improvements through automation.

Financial Operations Analyst (Reconciliation)

Following the recent years of our rapid expansion, we invite dedicated, competent, and dynamic individuals to be part of our team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to support our operations, both locally and globally.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:
  • To chase for the NAV for Hedge Funds and input into Data Hub system.
  • To perform NAV controls checks to make sure the correct price details are updated in trading platforms.
  • Investigation of all asset breaks and ensure they are assigned to the right departments.
  • To provide high quality service experience, answering enquiries and resolving problems with the TAs, advisors, and custodians.
  • Identify and challenge non-standard/exception-based processes to ensure a thorough risk assessment has been completed with corresponding controls in place prior to implementation.
  • Partner with various internal teams and business stakeholders to develop effective solutions and continually look for ways to innovate to expand our service capabilities.
  • Ensure all the activities are completed and delivered within agreed time frames and to a high-quality standard.
  • Review and clearance of daily cash and stock reconciliations via FundAdmin / Intellimatch.
  • E-mail queries are investigated and responded to in a timely manner.
  • Produce and maintain required periodic reporting as required to support the client and/or business needs.
  • Produce and maintain statistical information for internal and client distribution.
  • Seek operational improvements where possible, to facilitate take-on of additional activities through automation of existing activities.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks when assigned.
Requirements
  1. 1-3 years of industry experience related to financial services operations with understanding of investment operations and operational excellence.
  2. Proficient in English with outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in additional languages is preferred.
  3. Well-developed organizational and critical thinking skills to resolve complex day to day issues independently.
  4. Good interpersonal skills and networking abilities with sub-custodians and both internal/external departments.
  5. Detail oriented, excellent accuracy skills and good understanding in mutual fund and hedge fund are strongly recommended.

Working hours: 3.00pm – 12.00am / 4.00pm – 01.00am Malaysia time.
