Job description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled EIA professional to join our growing team, Cayman Consulting Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur. In this full-time role, you will serve as a key technical expert, responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments for various planning and construction projects.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Report Preparation: Independently lead or be responsible for compiling Environmental Impact Assessment Reports and related documentation for construction projects.
  • Project Coordination: Fully manage and drive EIA projects, including client liaison, organising site visits, and coordinating public participation.
  • Technical Analysis & Prediction: Use professional models and methods to predict, analyse, and assess potential environmental impacts (e.g., water, air, noise, ecology) of projects.
  • Mitigation Measures Development: Propose scientific, economical, and effective countermeasures for pollution prevention and ecological protection based on project specifics.
  • Submission & Review: Manage the submission and approval process for EIA documents, and participate in technical review meetings, professionally communicating with experts and approval authorities.
What we’re looking for:
  • Must be a registered and currently active DOE-certified (MyCEP) EIA consultant in Malaysia.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science or related field.
  • At least 5 years post-qualification experience, or as required by the DOE to be qualified.
  • Proficient in EIA-related technical guidelines, standards, laws and regulations.
  • Excellent command in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, government approval departments, and technical experts.
  • A team player with strong team spirit, capable of collaborating effectively with team members.
