We are seeking an experienced Corporate Communications & Public Relations Manager to lead our media relations and corporate messaging. This role requires strong, established relationships with key Malaysian media and excellent business writing capabilities to manage corporate narratives and reputation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with editors and journalists from major English and Chinese media, including The Edge Malaysia, The Star, and Nanyang Siang Pau.
Pitch corporate stories, business updates, and leadership commentaries to secure positive media coverage.
Draft and manage press releases, media statements, Q&A documents, and corporate announcements.
Handle media enquiries, interviews, and press briefings.
Support senior management with business writing, speech writing, and interview preparation.
Monitor media coverage, public sentiment, and reputational risks.
Support crisis communication and sensitive issue management when required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related fields.
6-7 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or media relations.
Proven strong media network with Malaysian business and Chinese media.
Excellent business writing skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is a strong advantage.
Experience handling corporate announcements and reputation management.
Confident, articulate, and able to engage senior stakeholders and media professionally.
