About The Job

As a Business Developer, you’ll drive Alfa Laval’s growth in the emerging renewable chemicals and plastics market in Southeast Asia. You’ll identify new opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and position Alfa Laval as a thought leader in the region’s clean tech transformation.

Job Description

• Lead market intelligence efforts and assess business potential for Alfa Laval products in the Renewable Chemical manufacturing applications.
• Build networks with local institutes, licensors, integrators, and end-users.
• Drive customer engagement and develop new business trails.
• Localize and execute communication strategies to elevate Alfa Laval’s brand in the Renewable Chemicals market.
• Represent Alfa Laval at industry events and global forums.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams to develop partnerships in bio-chemicals and bio-polymers.

The position will be based either in Malaysia/Thailand/Indonesia/Singapore. You will report to the Energy Division Manager, SEA and work closely with Global BD Manager, Renewable Fuels & Chemicals.

What You Know

• Proven experience in business development within renewable chemicals.
• Strong understanding of industrial fermentation, waste-to-chemicals, or similar technologies.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to navigate complex regulatory and market landscapes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Degree in engineering or related field; commercial acumen is a must.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in SEA languages is a plus.
• Comfortable working across cultures and geographies.
