Job description

Perform diagnostic checks, repairs, and preventive maintenance on JAC lorries.

Repair and service engine, transmission, drivetrain, suspension, steering, and braking systems.

Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems, including batteries, alternators, starters, sensors, and ECU.

Conduct routine inspections and identify potential mechanical issues.

Use diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and service software to troubleshoot faults.

Replace or repair defective parts and components efficiently.

Prepare service reports and job records, including parts used and repair work completed.

Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and manufacturer standards.

Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and cleanliness.

Communicate technical findings and repair explanations to supervisors or customers when required.

Requirements / Qualifications
  • SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Heavy Vehicle Technology.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a technician for lorries or heavy vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, heavy vehicle systems, and diagnostics.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and diagrams.
  • Basic computer skills for diagnostic systems and reporting.
  • Possess a valid driving license (Class D / GDL is an advantage).
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
