What You’ll Do

Team Management

• Lead and train engineers, technicians, and programmers in automation and instrumentation practices with well‑disciplined execution.
• Coordinate resources for system start‑ups, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Support maintenance department leadership as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Automation Systems & Instrumentation Management

• Oversee the strategy, day‑to‑day execution, and routine improvements of the automation & instrumentation systems.
• Responsible of providing technical support in applicable automation system.
• Ensure process and equipment safety for people, products, and the environment, and that everyone demonstrates an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations.
• Design, develop, implement & maintain automated systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI) to optimize production and process control.
• Configure and maintain control systems, ensuring integration with existing infrastructure.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction through automation.
• Understand the requirement for the automation and design and develop/maintain automated systems/Robotic systems, Automated production lines for manufacturing for better productivity and improvement in quality.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and communicate issues appropriately.
• Manage installation, calibration, and maintenance of process instruments (flow meters, pressure transmitters, level sensors, etc.).
• Research and implement emerging technologies (IoT, robotics, AI) to enhance efficiency.
• Cooperate with Parts Inventory team to ensure automation, instrumentation and electrical parts are ordered and stocked for planned maintenance activities.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure instrumentation complies with safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation for systems, including manuals, configurations, and maintenance records.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and company policies.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechatronic/ Automation/ Control Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the field of automation/digitalization in a manufacturing facility.
• Should have detailed knowledge of automation systems in the areas of PLC, SCADA, Batch control, Database and reporting, Historian, ERP integration, Equipment connectivity protocols, Robotics, Drives, Vision systems, Emerging technologies – IOT sensors, edge devices, etc.
• Detail oriented, analytical, and creative thinker with passion to improve and digitize work processes.
• Excellent maintenance management, planning and organization skills and ability to work and deliver in changing environments while adhering to specified deadlines.
• Strong influencing, interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and get results in a matrixed organization.
