Job summary

A leading industrial automation company located in Shah Alam, Malaysia is seeking an engineer to execute multiple automation projects. This role involves collaborating with project managers and engineers to meet customer specifications, developing PLC programs, and conducting tests. Ideal candidates should have a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in PLC technologies. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in automation industry with DCS/PLC project execution.
• Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, instrumentation and safety instrumented systems will be an advantage.
• Able to travel within short notice and to developing countries.

Job description

Responsibilities

Execute one or more industrial automation projects in parallel

Report to the Lead engineer and/or Project Manager and deliver the project in compliance to customer specifications

Responsible for the Draft technical design for project and prepare associated documentations/drawings

Develop PLC program and HMI graphics as per project requirements

Conduct internal hardware & software integrated testing and Factory Acceptance Test

Conduct testing & commissioning and Site Acceptance Tests at customer’s site

Requirements

Minimum 2 years relevant experience in automation industry with DCS/PLC project execution

Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Engineering related disciplines.

Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, instrumentation and safety instrumented systems will be an advantage.

Working knowledge with Siemens Step-7, WinCC and PCS7 preferred

Possess good interpersonal and leadership skills.

Able to work independently and as a team player

Proficient in English (written and verbal)

Able to travel within short notice & to developing countries

Note: More experienced candidates will considered for Senior/Lead position.
