About the job Automation and Control System Engineer
Job Summary:
Responsible for the design, procurement, implementation, and validation of automation and capital equipment. Duties include hardware/software troubleshooting, programming, system management, and maintenance. Collaborates with engineers and operations teams to sustain and enhance equipment performance and functionality.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver robust, cost-effective automation and process control systems to Entegris manufacturing processes.
- Interact with external system integrators and machine builders to successfully deliver fully integrated process equipment systems to Entegris on-time, on-budget, and that satisfy performance measures.
- Act as internal subject matter expert in SCADA systems, manufacturing system integration, sensors, electro‑mechanical devices, and robotics technologies.
- Work with the cross‑functional team to solve OT problems, resolve project‑related issues, and develop a fundamental understanding of technical/process requirements critical to system success.
- Develop OT architectures, functional specifications, and system integration requirements to meet process and manufacturing requirements.
- Capable of executing project assignments in a team‑based environment with minimal supervision.
- Provide control systems training to other Entegris engineers and technicians.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering or other related areas of study.
- 5 years of experience with demonstrated history in designing, developing, and implementing robust state‑of‑the‑art control solutions using machine/motion control systems, robotics systems, and electro‑mechanical systems in manufacturing.
- Practical knowledge of SCADA system (Ignition preferred), programming in Python, Java or other high‑level languages, MS SQL Database, PLC (Keyence, Omron, Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
- Experience using one or more Industrial Control Programming and Development Environments (Studio 5000, Ignition).
- Experience with industrial network protocols such as RESTful API, OPC‑UA, Modbus, SEC/GEMS.
- Experience with industrial communication protocols such as RS‑232 and RS‑485.
- Experience in managing new product or process from development up to manufacturing.
- Experience in handling high‑end automation in manufacturing industry.
