Job summary

A leading audit and accounting firm seeks an Audit Associate based in Sunway Tower, Malaysia. The role is ideal for fresh graduates who possess strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities include carrying out audit jobs, preparing reports, and assisting in audit planning. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

Job Summary

We are seeking an Audit Associate to assist in audit engagements, prepare reports, and support audit planning. Ideal for fresh grads with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn. The location is at Sunway Tower, Jalan Ampang - 5 minutes or less from LRT Dang Wangi.

Job Responsibilities

• Carry out audit jobs assigned by the supervisor within the timeframe given.
• Prepare and finalize audit working papers and audit reports for SME companies.
• Prepare audit planning for the supervisor to review before the commencement of audit work.
• Assist seniors in preparing audit schedules and audit procedures.
• Prepare draft tax computations and ensure adequate provision of tax liabilities.
• Reply to the Manager’s review points within the timeframe given.
• Confirm the final audit reports with clients before release.
• Follow up on any outstanding issues and letters from clients.
• Liaise with company secretary, tax agents and other authorities to obtain statutory information required during the audit.
• Prepare group financial statements.

Job Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification and/or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Partial professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, MIA or equivalent).
• Fresh graduates or those with less than a year’s experience in audit.
• Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin (preferred).
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage, as the role may involve liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients or stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and in a tight deadline environment.
• Detailed and organized and can manage self well.
• A good team player. Able to interact well with people.
