About the Job

• Lead the design and development cycle for new and existing product lines for various commercial and domestic markets.
• Collaborate closely with the R&D team to drive innovation, implement continuous improvement (Kaizen), and balance creative design with technical feasibility.
• Evaluate and recommend key factors including cost, materials, production technology, safety, ergonomics, and market trends.
• Provide technical guidance on engineering drawings, performing 3D/2D modeling, fit, clearance, and interference checks.
• Test and refine product concepts using sketching, prototyping, and advanced Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
• Liaise with customers and internal departments (e.g., QA, Production) throughout the product realization process.
• Ensure the security and maintenance of all product design documentation and revision records.

Qualifications

• Education: Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or an equivalent field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years working in a Research & Development or design role.
• Industry Knowledge: Proven working experience in furniture/product design and manufacturing involving materials like metal, steel, wood, and plastic.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Essential ability to sketch and create detailed technical drawings.
  • Expertise in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and 3D modeling operations.
• Design Acumen:
  • Strong understanding of material knowledge and their use in production.
  • Solid knowledge of ergonomics and a focus on functionality and user comfort.
  • Highly innovative, creative mindset with a strong sense of aesthetics.
• Soft Skills:
