Air Freight Operations Manager (KLIA) (ID: 690154)

This role is responsible for overseeing air freight operations at the KLIA branch, including team management, customer coordination, and cost control. The Branch Manager serves as the person in charge of overall branch operations.

Operations Management

Manage overall air freight operations at the KLIA branch.

Supervise and optimize workflows for cargo receipt, sorting, delivery, and documentation processes.

Ensure safety, quality, and on-time performance.

Communicate with on-site staff and provide guidance for operational improvements.

Team Management

Manage a team of approximately 15 staff.

Handle shift scheduling, work guidance, and performance evaluations.

Maintain team motivation and resolve operational issues.

Coordinate and communicate with key customers.

Handle customer complaints, delivery schedule adjustments, and other operational issues.

Branch Administration

Manage branch costs and monitor expenditures.

Prepare monthly reports.

Report to and coordinate with Japanese Managing Director.

Job Requirements:

At least 8 years of hands‑on experience in air freight operations, including cargo receipt, sorting, delivery, and document processing.

Strong understanding of workflows and operational challenges, with the ability to apply experience to resolve issues and improve efficiency and quality.

At least 5 years of team management/leadership experience, managing 10–20 staff.

Experience in customer/stakeholder coordination and handling operational issues.

Owns personal transport.

Experience in branch administration/management, including cost control, monthly reporting, and performance monitoring.
