Job summary

A leading technology company seeks a dedicated professional to oversee cafeteria performance and manage food service operations in Penang. The role involves ensuring compliance with food safety standards, tracking stock levels, and providing excellent customer service. Candidates must possess a Professional certificate or Diploma, with at least 5 years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and a driving license Class D. The company values individuals who are friendly, detail-oriented, and can work flexible hours.

Qualifications

  • 5 years' relevant working experience in a multi-national company or manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and tracking.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Malay; Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Must possess a driving license Class D.

Responsibilities

- Overseeing cafeteria performance in managing food service operations.

- Involve in managing and coordinating in canteen daily operations, managing service provider ensuring food quality and safety.

- Assist in tracking and managing stock levels of food, supplies, and kitchen equipment to ensure adequate quantities are available and costs are controlled.

- Ensuring compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations, including regular audits and inspections.

- Collaborating with service provider to create and manage menus that are appealing, affordable, and meet dietary needs.

- Communicating with employees and service provider, coordinating events, and resolving issues.

- Ensuring a positive customer experience through prompt service, friendly, and a clean and inviting environment.

Visitor Management

- Candidate is requiring in guest service such as greeting visitors, handling phone calls, scheduling appointments, and providing administrative support on ad-hoc basis.

Requirements
  • Professional certificate / Diploma in any field with at least 5 years' relevant working experience preferably in multi-national company or manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and tracking.
  • Friendly, approachable, excellent in work responsibility, good in communication skills, multitasking, detail-oriented and responsiveness.
  • Good command of written and spoken in English and Malay. Mandarin speaker is adding advantages.
  • Strong commitment and able to work overtime / during weekend if there is any request.
  • Applicant must proceed with driving license Class D.
