Job description
Our Company

We’re Hitachi Digital, a company at the forefront of digital transformation and the fastest growing division of Hitachi Group. We’re crucial to the company’s strategy and ambition to become a premier global player in the massive and fast-moving digital transformation market.

Our group companies, including GlobalLogic, Hitachi Digital Services, Hitachi Vantara and more, offer comprehensive services that span the entire digital lifecycle, from initial idea to full-scale operation and the infrastructure to run it on. Hitachi Digital represents One Hitachi, integrating domain knowledge and digital capabilities, and harnessing the power of the entire portfolio of services, technologies, and partnerships, to accelerate synergy creation and make real-world impact for our customers and society as a whole.

Imagine the sheer breadth of talent it takes to unleash a digital future. We don’t expect you to ‘fit’ every requirement – your life experience, character, perspective, and passion for achieving great things in the world are equally as important to us.

The team

The Global Total Rewards Programs team plays a critical role in driving the execution of global Total Rewards projects, including the Annual Compensation Review, Short-Term Incentive Payouts, Long-Term Incentive Program, Salary Range Update, and other initiatives. With a project management mindset, this team ensures coordination of cross-functional stakeholders, including HR Tech, Total Rewards Regional Leaders, HR Business Partners, Finance, Legal, and other global teams.

The role

This individual will act as the program owner of one or more compensation programs. The primary focus of the role is global compensation consulting and project management and coordination, ensuring seamless and frictionless execution of compensation initiatives and alignment with business objectives.

  • Lead the coordination of global compensation programs, ensuring alignment with global strategies and timely execution across all regions. Coordinate compensation program rollouts, monitor progress, and manage potential risks or bottlenecks, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for compensation programs, from planning and development to execution and review, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and reporting structures to track progress, manage risks, and ensure successful delivery of compensation programs. Ensure clear documentation of processes, decisions, and key outcomes throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Act as program liaison to HR Tech, Finance, Legal, and other key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment throughout compensation projects. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve issues, identify best practices, and ensure consistency in compensation processes across the globe.
  • Partner closely with the Operating Company’s TR Leads to ensure that regional needs and stakeholders are considered, to share information and coordinate work for maximum efficiency and accuracy.
What you’ll bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CCP, PMP) is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in compensation program management, with a focus on global program coordination, project management, and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex compensation programs across multiple regions.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple global initiatives and deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across geographies and functions.
  • Expertise in compensation tools and systems, particularly HRIS (Workday, Oracle) and data analysis software (Excel, Tableau, etc.). Advance Asana or similar project management tools is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of global compensation practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on delivering high-impact results.
