A global technology leader is seeking an Account Manager in Cuauhtémoc, Mexico, to develop and manage strategies focusing on customer satisfaction and profitability in the data center segment. The ideal candidate has strong consultative sales experience and is familiar with electrical systems and energy efficiency. You will be responsible for relationship management and promoting smart energy solutions, ensuring reliability and sustainability in operations. This role offers a remote working model.

Formación

  • Proven experience in consultative sales and strategic account management, preferably in the electrical or data center industry.
  • Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities, with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.

This Position reports to: Segment Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, implement, and manage the account strategy that is focused on share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

The Account Manager is responsible for managing and developing strategic relationships with customers in the Data Center segment. This role focuses on promoting ABB's Electrification Low Voltage portfolio, including Smart Power and Smart Building solutions, to ensure energy efficiency, reliability, and sustainability in customer operations.

The work model for the role is #L-Remote.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power and Smart Building solutions in Mexico. Main stakeholders are Marketing & Sales Manager, Segment Manager and Channel Sales Manager.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Develop and maintain strategic account plans for Data Center customers.
  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders.
  • Promote ABB's Smart Power and Smart Building portfolio, including intelligent panels, protection systems, and energy management solutions.
  • Identify new business opportunities in expansion, retrofit, and energy efficiency projects.
  • Prepare competitive commercial proposals aligned with margin policies.
  • Coordinate with engineering, inside sales, and technical support teams to ensure accurate configurations and quotations.
  • Participate in ABB global initiatives for the Data Center segment.
  • Monitor KPIs such as sales volume, margin, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications for the role
  • Proven experience in consultative sales and strategic account management, preferably in the electrical or data center industry.
  • Strong understanding of commercial processes, including pricing strategies, margin management, and contract negotiation.
  • Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities, with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in complex B2B environments.
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure standards and requirements, including reliability, redundancy, and energy efficiency best practices.
  • Solid understanding of low-voltage electrical systems, including power distribution, protection devices, and energy management solutions.
  • Knowledge of Smart Power and Smart Building technologies, such as intelligent circuit breakers, building automation, and digital monitoring platforms.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills. Ability to work in complex, multicultural environments. Results-oriented mindset with proven ability to meet targets.
