For our Italian holding of wefox AG - wefox services Italy - we are currently looking for a Java Backend Developer, who will be involved in a B2B project regarding premium calculation:

In this role, you will:

• Implement production-ready solutions, possibly with the assistance of senior devs and leads.
• Debug production issues when necessary.
• Contribute to project estimation tasks.
• Help to make well-reasoned design decisions, identifying potential issues, trade-offs, risks, and an appropriate level of abstraction.
• Support junior engineers within your squad when needed.
• Create innovation sharing knowledge between architecture’s team to push new tech in production.

What you bring:

• Hands-on experience (3+ years) working with server applications serving APIs, batch processes, or queues.
• Hands-on experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs.
• Nice to have experience with frameworks like Spring, Quarkus, Micronauts, or similar (ORM, Event-driven).
• Nice to have knowledge of design patterns.
• Nice to have knowledge of microservices and event-driven platforms.
• A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and grow with us.
• Experience working with Git.
• Working knowledge of English is required; proficiency in Spanish or German is a plus.
