You will play a key role in delivering a critical MoD infrastructure programme, leading a specialist team in Windows system upgrades and architecture. Your expertise will help shape secure, scalable, and energy-efficient Microsoft Windows Server solutions—both physical and virtual—to meet stringent operational demands.

Your responsibilities include developing high- and low-level design artefacts, selecting energy-efficient hardware, and implementing virtualisation strategies to optimise performance and sustainability. You will also ensure seamless integration, defect-free execution, and alignment with customer requirements through a hands-on approach.

You’ll collaborate closely with Solution Owners and Project Managers, driving innovation while maintaining robust documentation to ensure a resilient, future-ready infrastructure supporting mission-critical operations.

• Sole UK National holding active SC and/or DV clearance.
• Proven experience in delivering structured, high-quality solutions and documentation.
• Expertise in creating and modifying design artefacts, including Architecture Overview Documents, High-Level Designs, and Low-Level Designs.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server (various versions), Active Directory, Group Policy, and Certification Authority in enterprise environments.
• Experience in designing and deploying Hyper-V, SCCM, and MECM solutions.
• Background in secure infrastructure solutions, including security policy design and implementation.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and technical team leadership.
• Experience with ESXi to Hyper-V migrations is a plus.

• Base Salary: Up to £70,000
• DV Bonus: 10% (if holding DV)
