Senior Sous Chef. GBP34 to 44k (including bonus and Tronc). The Raeburn was built in 1832 as an elegant Georgian family home and has now been transformed into an exquisite boutique hotel. Boasting ten bedrooms, bar, dining, library, private dining and outdoor terraces, it is the only one of its kind in the area. We are looking for a talented and passionate Senior Sous Chef who can contribute to a creative, highly personal approach and superb locally sourced quality food. The ideal candidate will be highly organised and creative, with strong leadership/management abilities, and the ability to fill the role of Head Chef when required.

• Work closely with the Head Chef and other Chefs; maintain a strong working relationship across the kitchen team.
• Provide leadership and manage the kitchen team; oversee workload and time management.
• Assist in developing the team and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Develop and manage costing, purchasing, and waste management under the guidance of the Head Chef.
• Show reliability, flexibility with hours, a hard-working attitude, and proactive problem solving.
• Uphold good working practices to earn the respect of team members through diligence and people skills.

• Experience as a chef with at least 5 years in cooking roles (preferred).
• Driving Licence (preferred).
• Experience regarding costing, purchasing and waste management is valued.
• Ability to work in person on site.
