We have 57 self-employed barristers practicing in all the Courts in Lancashire and Cumbria in the areas of Criminal and Family Law.
Chambers has an department made up of 10 members of staff who provide administrative services to the barristers ranging from diary management to billing cases and marketing the services barristers offer.
15 Winckley Square is a very fast-paced environment with a large professional client base.
We offer our professional clients the highest possible level of service and we are well-regarded as a ‘go to’ set of Chambers in the North.
Description
•Preparing rooms for clients and visitors
•Reporting to Practice Manager of the chambers
•Greeting clients and visitors
•Liaising with clerks, processing emails from the clients (solicitors) and barristers
•Learning about GDPR and Equality and Diversity etc
•Taking and distributing incoming calls
•Uploading bundles to the case management system
•Checking court lists and confirming case times times with barristers
•Agreeing cases fees with barristers
•Learning to use a bespoke CRM system
•Speaking to solicitors and chasing up documents
•Planning and organising barristers diaries and carrying any other delegated duties from the practice manager
Requirements
•Ideal applicant will have strong educational background
•A-Levels or above,18+ (would consider someone with strong GSCE's if no A-Levels)
•People person
•Works well under pressure
•Lots of diary management so excellent organization skills
•The chosen applicant needs be able to use their own initiative so looking for a forward thinking person
•Looking for a good team player

Excellent opportunity to learn about the law industry as will be dealing with barristers and supporting them from an administrative capacity.
Training provided by an experienced team of 10 in the workplace and additional tutor support throughout Business Administrator apprenticeship. Mentor-ship provided by someone with over 30 years experience in the Clerks industry
Opportunity to progress within the company on completion of the apprenticeship in a much sought after and specialist sector.
