You will conduct thorough research across all areas of sustainability, including sustainable transport, fuel poverty, renewable energy, and the influence of local and national policies on Red Kite’s sustainability journey. Additionally, you will oversee and deliver nature and community-focused projects such as habitat restoration, tree planting, and art installations, collaborating closely with both internal and external stakeholders.

What we need you to do

1. Work with the Assistant Head of Property, Head of Property, and Director of Property & Development to develop and implement Red Kite’s Asset Management, Sustainability, and Bio-Diversity (Environmental) Strategy, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of stock condition and overall performance, compliant with Regulation and Legislation.
2. Collaborate with our development team to ensure new properties align with our core principles and are fit for the future.
3. Assist in maintaining a strong annual, five-year, and 30-year investment plan for homes that ensures compliance with decent homes standards and supports Red Kite’s decarbonisation and energy efficiency goals.
4. Ensure Red Kite maintains robust and current stock condition and thermal efficiency (EPC) data, with mechanisms to analyze this data and develop options for coordinated, cost-effective investment decisions.
5. Lead and collaborate with colleagues on delivering capital projects such as regeneration, remodelling, and property stock improvements to meet Red Kite’s aspirations.
6. Work with the Assistant Head of Property to deliver high-performing, tenant-focused planned maintenance programs, including energy efficiency works, ensuring tenants have well-maintained and decent homes.
