Crown House Technologies

Crown House Technologies – Enterprise Solutions are part of the Laing O’Rourke Construction Group.

Enterprise Solutions provide the in‑house expertise to design, install and commission MEP (mechanical, electrical and public health) specialist systems which includes Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS), Security Systems (Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), Access Control and Intruder Alarms), Information Communications Technology (ICT), Lighting Control (LCS), Ventilation (ductwork) and Sprinklers.

You will work within the Security team under the guidance of our experienced engineers, alongside site supervisors and managers.

You must have strong technical acumen with a positive interest in engineering & technology. You will also have a professional approach and a keen eye for detail; excellent communication and IT skills are also vital for the role.

To learn to design, install and commission electronic security systems to protect people and property from risk and danger.

• Read a specification and apply principles associated with the design to create engineering documentation.
• Understand communications technology and standard industry protocols.
• Understand the requirements for the installation of electrical wiring systems.
• Learn, understand and manage the production of system software.
• Carry out point‑to‑point testing and commissioning.
• Adhere to all company policies & procedures, particularly to health & safety.

A Trainee Security Engineer will provide valuable support to our technical function and project delivery teams as we achieve our business priorities and client requirements. You can expect to be involved with a range of our technical and operations activities, for example:

• Design development and management
• Procurement
• Sub‑contractor management
• Installation activities
• Commissioning activities
• Planning and project controls
• Knowledge sharing and industry best practice
• Assurance and compliance

As a project‑led business, the location of our work can vary depending on project needs. This role may require you to be prepared to work away from home at project sites across the UK.

Fire emergency and security systems technician (Level 3, 36 months)

We are looking for candidates who have obtained or are on track to obtain:

• 4 GCSEs at C/4+, including Maths & English
• Minimum of 96 UCAS points or equivalent
• Eligible to work in the UK – we do not offer visa sponsorship
• Be flexible as you may be required to work away

• Video Interview
  At this stage, you will be invited to record responses to two questions set by our hiring team. You will have sufficient time to prepare and ensure you present yourself confidently.
• Assessment Centre
  Our in‑person assessment centres, held at a LOR office, provide an opportunity for you to demonstrate your skills through a combination of individual tasks, short interviews, and group activities. This is also a chance to experience our culture first‑hand.
• Outcome
  We aim to provide feedback and communicate the outcome of your assessment centre within two weeks.
