Location: Barton-upon-Humber
Salary: £98.94 – £114.84 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time, Long-Term / Day-to-Day

Are you a skilled HLTA ready to take the next step in supporting pupils and leading learning?

GSL Education are currently seeking a confident and experienced HLTA to work in a vibrant school in Barton-upon-Humber. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who can support teaching and learning across the school while delivering lessons in the absence of the class teacher.

About the Role:

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the curriculum, working with groups or whole classes, and covering planned teacher absences. You’ll also support pupils with additional needs and help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead whole-class lessons in line with pre-set planning when required.
• Support class teachers with the delivery of high-quality education.
• Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to support pupil progress.
• Work collaboratively with teaching and SEN staff to meet individual learning needs.
• Assist with assessment and feedback to support student development.
• Promote positive behaviour and student engagement.

HLTA Requirements:

• Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting teaching and leading lessons across primary year groups.
• Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with staff and pupils.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
• A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
