About the role

We are looking for a passionate and forward‑thinking Advanced Practitioner to join our Leaving Care Staying Close Team. The direction of our service evolves with the national and local agenda, and we are looking for individuals who are adaptable, open to change and motivated to take on emerging responsibilities.

Applicants must already hold a valid right to work in the UK (the council can transfer it). We may be able to offer sponsorship in line with Home Office guidance, subject to pre‑employment checks.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver core leaving care services and hold a reduced caseload.
  • Lead on specific areas of service such as housing, group work, independent living skills and ASDAN.
  • Play a key role in embedding systemic social‑work approaches within the team.
  • Collaborate with families and communities, ensuring every child has the best chance at a happy and fulfilling life.

  • Full driving licence and willingness to drive.
  • DBS clearance.
  • Completion of the ASYE year (if qualified after 2012).

  • Salary: £48,226 – £51,356 per annum, subject to experience.
