We are looking for a passionate and skilled Family Group Conference (FGC) Practitioner to join our countywide service in Lincolnshire. This full-time, permanent position is based in the East Lindsey locality.

Due to recent changes in immigration law in the UK we are unable to offer skilled worker visa sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the requirements ofRQF Level 6

As an FGC Practitioner, your role is to be an impartial facilitator. You will help families create their own plans for the safety and well-being of their children.

Your main responsibility is to bring togethera family's network—including parents, children, grandparents, other trustedrelatives, or friends—and relevant professionals like Social Workers and Early Help Workers. You will guide this group through a structured process that includes a private, uninterrupted discussion.The goal is for the family to identify their own strengths and resources and then design a plan that keeps the children safe, supported, and cared for.

You are responsible for the entire FGC process, from the initial referral to the final plan.This involves preparing the family, inviting key members, and ensuring everyone's voice is heard during the meeting. Your role is not to make decisions for the family, but to empower them to find their own solutions. After the meeting, you will document the plan and provide a copy to all participants. Ultimately, your work helps strengthen family bonds and build a sustainablesupportnetwork.

We are seeking a candidate who is educated to a degree level, NVQ Level Four, or equivalent.You should have a proven ability to convene and chair sensitivemeetings in a way that achieves positive outcomes.

We also require:

• A clear understanding of the Children Act 1989, current social care practices, and child protection procedures.

• Demonstrable ability to work effectively with families and statutory and voluntary agencies.

• Knowledge and understanding of family dynamics.

• The ability to deliver services within an equal opportunities framework.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, especially when working with children and young people. You should also have excellent report writing skills.
