Job description
Pension & Benefits Manager

At Schneider Electric, sustainability is at the core of our strategy, and we are proud to have been named the "World's Most Sustainable Company 2025" by TIME Magazine and Statista for the second year in a row! We are shaping a more electric and digital future. Join our team in the UK as a Pension & Benefits Manager and play a pivotal role in ensuring our employee benefits and pension schemes are competitive, compliant, and effectively align to our business strategy.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to manage the design, implementation, and ongoing administration of all pension and benefits programs across the UK and Ireland. This role is crucial in attracting, motivating, and retaining talent by providing a comprehensive and valued benefits offering, while ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.

Core Responsibilities:

Pension & Benefits Strategy & Design:

  • In partnership with the UK&I Reward & Performance Manager, design and define country-specific pension and benefits programs aligned with local market needs, global reward strategy, and business objectives.

Programme Management

  • Oversee the administration of pension schemes and benefits, ensuring accurate data and a seamless employee experience.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all programs meet legal and internal governance standards.

Vendor Management

  • Manage relationships with external providers, monitor performance, and oversee invoicing and service delivery.

Employee Communication & Education

  • Develop clear communications and lead awareness sessions to help employees understand their benefits. Maintain up-to-date resources on the Darwin platform.

Financial Oversight

  • Monitor and optimise costs, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and ensure budget adherence.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Define KPIs, build dashboards, and present insights to HR teams to support continuous improvement.

What will help you to be successful?

  • Proven experience within a Reward, Pension, Benefits, or specialist Pension & Benefits role, ideally within a multinational company.
  • Ability to cover core Pensions & Benefits responsibilities with a desire to take occasional stretch assignments into other areas of Reward.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK & Irish pension regulations, benefits legislation, and market practices.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to link benefits decisions to financial impact.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple initiatives and manage diverse stakeholders in a matrix environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
  • A proactive and innovative mindset, constantly seeking ways to improve employee experience and operational efficiency.
  • Experience with Darwin and Oracle systems desirable but not required.
  • Commitment to ethical principles and compliance.

What we offer you:

Competitive salary & Bonus Scheme, 28 Days Annual Leave + Public Holidays, Holiday Buy & Sell programme, Pension Scheme, Employee Share Ownership Programme, Various Health & Wellbeing Support Options, Gym Flex, Open Talent Market (internal mobility opportunities + access to mentors & projects globally), Shopping & Dining Discounts, Learning Portal and much more.
