Job Opportunity: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Responsibilities

• Planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities under the direction of teaching staff
• Leading small group interventions and supporting in-class learning
• Covering lessons in the absence of a teacher (PPA cover or short-term absence)
• Supporting students with a range of academic and behavioural needs
• Assisting with classroom management and contributing to the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience)
• Previous experience in a secondary school setting
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A flexible, proactive, and resilient attitude
• A DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
