A regional authority in the UK is looking for a confident and detail-oriented individual for a role in the Land Charge Team. The position involves processing registrations and property searches while ensuring targets and legal requirements are met. Candidates should have excellent IT skills and the ability to manage their workload both independently and as part of a team. This role promotes flexible working with a blend of remote and on-site work in Shrewsbury. Generous annual leave and a supportive work environment are offered.
An opportunity has arisen in the Land Charge Team within Legal, Governance and Planning Services. The post is for a fixed term period until 31 March 2028. The Local Land Charge Register contains details of restrictions and obligations affecting a property or area of land, such as planning decisions and road agreements.
You will be required to process registrations and property searches in line with performance targets and legal requirements. You will assist solicitors, conveyancing agencies and the public by collating and processing information from various council departments and other bodies, using the Council's land and property systems to update and retrieve property‑related data.
We are looking for someone who can work flexibly, under their own initiative and to deadlines, ensuring the Land Charges Team achieves its performance targets.
The successful applicant will need to be a confident communicator with a 'can do' approach and strong attention to detail. You must also be able to work both independently and as part of a team, have excellent IT skills, and be able to manage a varied workload. This role will be predominantly working from home with occasional working from The Guildhall in Shrewsbury.
