Job summary
A leading engineering firm based in the United Kingdom is seeking a professional to define and control the production process, including tooling and equipment. The role requires leading a small manufacturing unit with a significant budget. Ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree, strong communication and leadership skills, and at least three years of experience in production processes and equipment. This role offers a chance to lead initiatives and coordinate multiple projects.
Qualifications

Job description
Responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities
- Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes Manufacturing Engineers.
- Redefine processes and procedures on a regular basis and require frequent interaction with adjacent functions (e.g. engineering, planning, maintenance)
- Handles latitude in manufacturing techniques. Manufacturing process requires choosing right approaches. Employees should have technical know-how.
- Leads a small manufacturing unit with a budget > 1.5 million.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing). Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Production Process and Equipment.
