Primary Teacher – Key Stage 1 - Year 1 & Year 2

Academics in Canterbury are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school community. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape young minds at the start of their educational journey in either Year 1 or Year 2.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons for KS1 pupils in line with the National Curriculum
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports early development in literacy, numeracy, and social skills
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching to support individual needs
* Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support pupil learning and well-being
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and school leadership to deliver high-quality education
* Uphold the school's values and contribute to the wider school community
What We Are Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
* Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 1 or Year 2)
* A nurturing, creative, and engaging teaching approach
* Strong understanding of the EYFS to KS1 transition
* Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding practices and a commitment to children's welfare
* Excellent communication skills and classroom management
* Right to work in the UK
