What is Required to be the Trade Sales Manager
* Proven experience in flooring specification sales or related fields (contract flooring, adhesives, oil/wood treatments, self-levelling compounds, primers, paint, subfloor preparation, resins, etc.).
* Experience selling products through trade distributors such as decorator's or builder's merchants, flooring distributors, and DIY specialists.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Technically proficient and eager to learn new products and systems.
* Commercially creative and proactive in seeking new opportunities.
* A team player who enjoys working in a fun and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities of the Trade Sales Manager:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with trade distributors and flooring contractors.
* Drive sales through push selling to distributors, winning larger projects, and backselling through the distribution channel.
* Deliver comprehensive product training to both distributors and contractors.
* Provide on-site visits, technical advice, and specifications for tenders.
* Foster excellent relationships with all customers and identify new market opportunities.
* Maintain accurate records within our CRM system.
* Explore untapped potential within the trade decorating merchants sector.
* Engage with major trade clients through events and activities including corporate hospitality at sports events, golf days and trade events.
